Welcome

Well my Double-X project seems to have taken a life of its own, so, it now has its own web site - Project Double-X - where we are pooling info and data along with hints, tips and suppliers details. For 2010 I am shooting exclusively with Double-X - I have got five cans of 400ft ready to roll!

I have been shooting black and white film since 1959, when I was eight years old. Whilst I do shoot with a digital camera my one and only love is film. You can see my currrent setup on the equipment page. Most of the images on this site are film. Digtal is always shot in RAW format and then processed to black and white. Very, very rarely I leave them as colour. Again details on the equipment page of my workflow.

Recently my eleven year old son has moved from his Canon G2 digital camera to an Olympus Trip and now a Leica CL. He is also learning to develop his own film.

It is quite surprising how much film I get through each year!
